Muscat Hosts Iranian Expo

EghtesadOnline: An exhibition and sales outlet for Iranian goods in the fields of restaurant equipment and hospitality opened in Muscat, Oman, on Saturday.

Iran’s deputy envoy to Oman, Mohammad Toutounchi, who was present in the opening ceremony, said the exhibition is aimed at paving the way for the expansion of commercial ties between the two countries.

“Iran-Oman trade stood at around $1.35 billion in 2016, registering more than a 35% increase compared with 2015,” he was quoted as saying by IRNA.

According to Toutounchi, commercial exchanges included steel,  etrochemicals, foodstuff, livestock, industrial equipment, automotives, construction materials, carpet, agricultural products, detergent, technical and engineering services, oil and gas, Financial Tribune reported.
