EghtesadOnline: Over the past month, Oman has returned part of Iran’s agricultural shipments that lacked pesticide control certificates, the head of the National Union of Agricultural Exporters said.

“Unfortunately, the Agriculture Ministry does not issue the certificates and has delegated the Iranian National Standards Organization to do so,” Reza Nourani was also quoted as saying by IRNA.

According to the official, Oman banned the import of Jordanian agro products last month due to the high content of pesticides in the crops, which makes for a great opportunity for Iran to expand its exports to the neighboring country, Financial Tribune reported.
