EghtesadOnline: An informed source said on Sunday that remaining forces of the terrorist group Ansar ul-Forqan hiding in Qasr-e Qand heights, southeastern Iran, were totally eliminated in the wake of continued operations by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

Speaking to IRNA on condition of anonymity on Sunday, the source said that IRGC's Qods Headquarters forces clashed with a number of terrorists in Chabahar last Wednesday, killing two terrorists and injuring five others.

After obtaining information that the Takfiri terrorists were hiding in Qasr-e Qand region, the IRGC forces raided their hideouts.

During the operation, the forces destroyed a vehicle laden with 600 kilograms of explosives and seized 15 bombs ready to be used in suicide attacks, over 700 kilograms of explosives, tens of thousands of bullets and a number of weaponry and ammunition, he said.

Commander of the IRGC Ground Forces Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour said earlier, “The terrorist team we clashed with since last Thursday was totally dismantled today.”

'The remaining members of the team who fled nearby mountains after Thursday operations were chased the IRGC forces and were captured near Qasr-e Qand today and all were killed,' Pakpour said.
