EghtesadOnline: Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas's representative in Iran Khaled al-Qadoumi believed a new chapter has opened in the relations between Tehran and Hamas since late 2016 and they entered a new phase of relations since six months ago.

“Currently the relations between Iran and Hamas are in the right track and the both sides agree that they focus on common issues. It does not mean that there are no differences between the two sides but there are more common issues compared to differences,” he said in an interview with ISNA.

“I should emphasize that the differences between Iran and Hamas is only 10 percent and we should not allow that the disputes cast a shadow on common issues” Qadoumi added.

“Iran and Hamas have a common enemy and we have a long way in confronting with this enemy. The relations and consultations between Iran and Hamas have become more productive,” he went on to say.

“International Quds Day is an appropriate event to express support for the Palestinians and oppose Zionism and Israel's existence,” the representative stressed.

“The Palestinian Islamist group Hamas in its newly presented policy document has stressed that there are no links between Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood,” he said.

“Our war is a war against occupier not a war against a specific religion. Our real enemy is the one that has occupied our land who can believe in any religion” Qadoumi went on to say.
