The app, which is supported by DMOND Accelerator, offers subscribers free and paid services, including memorizing approaches based on repetition schedules, and also online book shops, local technology website Webna reported.
Paid version of the services includes a wider range of memorizing techniques. This is the first time an Iranian application developer is offering such services.
Yadease contains a library in of books and materials, a virtual study desk on which learners can read their intended corpuses according to the time-tables defined by the app or themselves, Financial Tribune reported.
There also is an online shop in which free and paid books are delivered to learners.
The learning schedule is a modernized version of the Leitner system with which materials that are to be memorized are transferred from short-term to long-term memory through repetition in defined time spans, based on their level of difficulty.
The Leitner system is a widely used method of efficiently using flashcards that was proposed by the German science journalist Sebastian Leitner in the 1970s. It is a simple implementation of the principle of spaced repetition.
The system makes selective learning possible with less effort than the traditional method of studying a set of flashcards sequentially and is widely popular with Iranian students.
The app is not restricted to learners. Teachers can also benefit from it by uploading educational materials like books and pamphlets and selling them through the application.
It is currently available for Android, but according to Yadease website the iOS version will be released in less than a month.
This is the first time a Persian application is offering such services, following the example of apps like Anki (Japanese term for memorizing) and Supermemo, which are not well-known in the country.
