Martina Lübon, the executive director of CeBIT, had accompanied the German delegation in Iran last year, calling CeBit and Elecomp two events of similar nature and features representing a large spectrum of technologies and IT services, Financial Tribune reported.

The biggest foreign delegations in last year’s exhibition included a Malaysian firm which had the most notable presence among Southeast Asian firms. Chinese, South Korean and Taiwanese companies also had an large presence.

More than 360 domestic businesses and 86 foreign firms from 18 countries participated in the previous round of Elecomp during which 250 local startups showcased their services.

Organizers of the annual event moved the show from December to July so as not to coincide with the CeBit event.
