Markazi Exports Ornamental Fish
EghtesadOnline: Markazi Province exported $2.4 million worth of ornamental fish in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2017) mainly to the UAE and Afghanistan, Ali Babaie, the head of Markazi Agricultural Jihad Organization, said in the opening ceremony of Iran’s first Ornamental Fish Research Center on Thursday.
Iran produces 210 million ornamental fish annually, of which 13.5 million are farmed in Markazi Province, according to Deputy Agriculture Minister Eskandar Zand who was also present at the event, IRNA reported.
