EghtesadOnline: Iranian and South Korean private companies signed 10 Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) in the field of transferring technology.

The MoUs were signed on Sunday afternoon in the second meeting of technology transfer in the presence of 40 small- and medium-sized industrial companies of Iran and nine companies from South Korea in the fields of spare parts, fishery, marine environment, apiculture, biologic fertilizer, die casting, oil and gas.

According to ISNA, the MoUs were signed in the presence of deputy minister of industry and managing director of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) Ali Yazdani and South Korean ambassador to Iran Kim Seung-Ho.

During the ceremony, Yazdani said, “the relations between the two countries have expanded, especially following JCPOA implementation so the promotion of bilateral ties is possible”.

“Holding such meetings will pave the way for promotion of relations between small- and medium-sized companies,” he added.

“For over 50 years, Iran and South Korea have had economic relations and the interaction between the two countries’ companies can certainly promote transferring technology and increase cooperation,” Yazdani noted.

He underlined that 98 percent of Iran’s exports to South Korea are oil and according to the data South Korea is among first five countries with trade exchanges with Iran.
