Isfahan Customs Administration also revealed that the main export destinations were Iraq ($123 million), the UAE ($79 million), Afghanistan ($77 million), Pakistan ($40 million) and Thailand ($27 million), accounting for 26%, 17%, 16%, 8% and 6% of Isfahan’s total exports during the period respectively, IRNA reported.
Petrochemical products, iron, steel and carpets were the main export commodities.
Some 30,670 tons of goods worth $144.9 million were imported into the province during the same period mainly from China (24%), South Korea (18%), Germany (10%) and Italy (9%), showing a 29% and 50% year-on-year growth in weight and value respectively, Financial Tribune reported.
The imports mainly consisted of mechanical and electronic machinery, machinery spare parts, paper and cardboard.
