EghtesadOnline: Iran has started exporting medicines to Turkey and Iraq, the Iranian vice-president in charge of Science and Technology said.

“The export of the medicinal products needs international confirmations and standards, and obtaining these certificates was impossible before the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA),” Iranian vice president for science and technology Sorena Sattari said.

“The registration of each medicine needs a clinical trial. These medicines were under the clinical trial for 3 years to get the certificates from Russia and fortunately for the first time two Iranian medicines are registering in Europe," ISNA quoted him as saying.

"We have supplied five types of registered medicines in Russia, biotechnology medicines exported to Russia take the whole market of this country and have replaced US medicines," Sattari went on to say.
