Indonesia underlines elevation of ties with Iran

EghtesadOnline: Indonesian Ambassador to Iran on Sunday underlined elevation of trade exchanges between Tehran and Jakarta to 600 million dollars till the end of 2017.

Tehran and Jakarta trade exchanges stood at 338 million dollars in 2016 and it will continue growing to reach 600 million dollars in 2017, Ocatvino Alimudin said in the central province of Yazd chamber of commerce.

Iran and Indonesia trade exchanges experienced 28 percent growth in 2016 as compared to 2015, the ambassador noted.

According to IRNA, he also called for increase of cooperation between the two states' central banks, adding that establishment of Tehran-Bali flight can help elevation of the two countries' cooperation in tourism field.

'Yazd province has good potentials for cooperation with its sister city of Jakarta in mineral, Information Technology and Information Communication Technology (ICT) fields,' the envoy said.
