Sistan-Baluchestan Exports Exceed $1b in 4 Months

EghtesadOnline: Close to 565,000 tons of goods worth over $1.15 billion were exported from Sistan-Baluchestan Province during the first four months of the current Iranian year (started March 21).

“The main exported products over the period were construction materials, tar, coriander seed, apple as well as chemical and industrial products, which headed to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Kuwait and the UAE for the most part,” Nader Mirshekar, the head of Sistan-Baluchestan Industries, Mines and Trade Organization, was quoted as saying by IRNA.

The official added that 54.5% of the products were exported through local customs offices and the remaining from border markets.

Sistan-Baluchestan is located in southeast Iran, bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan, according to Financial Tribune.
