Iranian automakers, namely Iran Khodro Diesel, Pishro Diesel Asia, Oghab Afshan and Soroush Diesel Mabna, produced a total of 157 buses and 57 vans in Mordad, ISNA reported.
This comes as production of minibus and middle bus saw a 1.2% decline compared with the same month of last year to stand at 72. An August report by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade said production of city buses was decreasing significantly, as several production lines had stopped dead in their tracks.
According to the report, the production of four models ceased during the period, Financial Tribune reported.
