61st London Film Festival to host five Iranian films

EghtesadOnline: Five Iranian films will take part in the 61st London International Film Festival.

According to the official website of the London International Film Festival, this year Majid Majidi's newest film entitled “Beyond the Clouds” is one of 12 films in the competitive section of this event and the most important representative of Iranian cinema, ISNA reported.

In the other sections of this festival, which will be hosting 242 feature films, documentaries and short films from nearly 50 countries, the Iranian films “Esrafil” directed by Ida Panahandeh in the Love section will be shown on screen along with the other Iranian short film “Retouche” directed by Kaveh Mazaheri.

The other Iranian short film entitled “Lunch Time” directed by Alireza Ghassemi will be the guest of the travel section of this international festival.

“24 Frames”, the latest achievement of the late Abbas Kiarostami will participate in the Creation section of the London International Film Festival.

A documentary entitled “Chouka, please tell me what time is it?” directed by two Iranians, Arash Kamali Sarvestani and Behrouz Bochani, which is the joint product of the Netherlands, Australia and New Guinea, is also one of 12 films in the competitive section of the festival.

The 61st edition of the London International Film Festival will be held from 4 to 15 October in the United Kingdom.
