Iran Halves Rail Tariffs on INSTC Route

EghtesadOnline: Iran has cut by 50% the 2017 tariffs on rail transportation of cargo in the Iranian strand of the India-Russia route to encourage trade via the International North–South Transport Corridor, Mehr News Agency quoted the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways’ director general for international affairs, Abbas Nazari, as saying on Saturday.

The International North–South Transport Corridor is a 7,200-km multimodal network of ship, rail, and road route for moving freight through India, Russia, Iran, Europe and Central Asia, according to Financial Tribune.
