EghtesadOnline: A 100-kilowatt solar power plant was put into operation in Isfahan on Wednesday.

The solar plant has been invested by an industrial company active in the field of electricity and energy with cooperation of Isfahan Science and Research Township.

The annual capacity of the power plant is generating 210,000 kilowatts of electricity, IRNA reported.

The power plant has a total of 322 units of 310-kilowatt solar panels and two 50-kilowatt invertors, which prevent generation and dissemination of 150,000 kilograms Dioxide Carbone annually.

In this powerplant photovoltaic cells were used and photovoltaic system employs solar panels to generate electricity directly from sun.

Isfahan province has suitable conditions to generate electricity by solar power plant. It has 300 sunny days and an area with wind-fellow, many stockbreeding and mechanized litter-collecting system, so is suitable for generating different types of renewable energies.

Currently more than 480 companies and technological institutions are active in the Science and Technology Township.
