Iran’s Joint Tech Coop. Forum With Georgians

EghtesadOnline: Georgia and Iran are set to hold a joint business-to-business forum on technological cooperation in Tbilisi on October 18-19.

The event is sponsored by Iran's Presidential Office for Science and Technology and aims to boost collaboration between local and Georgian knowledge-based businesses, the official website of the government body reported.

Iran Tech Export Services Corridor will also contribute to the event. TESC is an export support organization for Iranian high-tech and medium-tech companies. It facilitates the export process for Iranian manufacturers by providing services in the areas of marketing and consultancy.

The event also includes two seminars on technology and business strategies, according to Financial Tribune.

Biotechnology, construction technology, laboratory equipment, new energies, information and communication technology, electricity, nanotechnology, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals will feature high at the two-day meeting.

Eighty knowledge-based companies and innovators will showcase their latest products while more than 300 private and state-owned Georgian companies have registered to participate.

Iran and Georgia have friendly ties and collaborate in variety of areas including commerce and industry and hold business forums too promote two-way collaboration.

The Iran-Georgia Joint Business Forum was held in Tehran last month by Iran’s Chamber of Commerce. The forum discussed the role of Georgia as a transit point for Iran-made goods destined for Europe.
