Markazi Unemployment Rate Lowest in Iran
EghtesadOnline: With 7.3%, Markazi Province had the lowest unemployment rate in Iran during the first half of the current Iranian year (March 2017-18), an official with the central province’s Governor-General’s Office said.
“This comes as the average unemployment rate in Iran stood at around 12% in H1, according to the Statistical Center of Iran,” Mahmoud Nemati was also quoted as saying by IRNA. “A total of 1.02 trillion rials ($25.5 million) were injected into 57 manufacturing units of Markazi this year, which would drive down unemployment rate in the province to 5% by the end of the year (March 20, 2018).” According to Financial Tribune, Nemati added that SCI has also put this year’s economic growth and inflation rates of Markazi Province at 11% and 12%, respectively.
