Iranian Interest in Importing Belarusian Beef

EghtesadOnline: Iran is interested in the import of Belarusian beef, Belarus’ Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo said at the Fourth All-Belarusian Forum of Livestock Producers.

“We discussed beef supplies to Iran with representatives of the Iranian veterinary service, deputy ministers. They are interested in it,” Igor Brylo was quoted as saying by BelTA news agency.

According to Brylo, many companies are currently busy with certifying their products with a view to their active advancement to the markets of Middle East, Asia and the European Union.

In Iran, 10% of domestic demand for red meat are met by imports, which annually averages at 80,000-100,000 tons. Imports are often made from Brazil, Australia, Armenia and Georgia, according to Financial Tribune.
