This marks a 19.6% and 92% upsurge in weight and value respectively compared with the similar period of last year. “The main exported products were petrochemicals, aluminum oxide powder steel and plastic products, construction material, foodstuff, agricultural products and machine-woven carpet,” Yahya Nikdel was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
The official added that Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan were the main export destinations. Nikdel noted that the province plans to increase exports to $170 million by the Iranian yearend (March 20, 2018).
