92% Rise in N. Khorasan Exports Value

EghtesadOnline: More than 310,000 tons of goods worth around $61.5 million tons were exported from North Khorasan Province during the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21-Sept. 22), the director general of North Khorasan Industry, Mines and Trade Organization announced.

This marks a 19.6% and 92% upsurge in weight and value respectively compared with the similar period of last year. “The main exported products were petrochemicals, aluminum oxide powder steel and plastic products, construction material, foodstuff, agricultural products and machine-woven carpet,” Yahya Nikdel was also quoted as saying by IRNA.

The official added that Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan were the main export destinations. Nikdel noted that the province plans to increase exports to $170 million by the Iranian yearend (March 20, 2018).

North Khorasan is located in northeast Iran, according to Financial Tribune.
