Iran's gas exports from Region 8 hits 6b/cm

EghtesadOnline: Director of Iran's Region 8 for gas transfer operation of Yadollah Biboardi said on Wednesday that in the first six months of the year (Iranian calendar) six billion cubic meters of gas was exported from this region to the neighboring states.

Biboardi said that in the first half of the year more than 13 billion cubic meters of natural gas were transferred through installations and pipelines of the region, which showed 20 percent rise in comparison to the same period of the preceding year.

According to IRNA, he added that in the first six months of the year around 7 billion cubic meters of gas were delivered to provincial gas companies for homes, power plants and industries.

Region 8 gas transfer operation mission is to receive natural gas from regions 3, 7 and 9 as well as foreign sources (Azerbaijan Republic) and transfer them secure, sustainable and clean to places for domestic use and exporting terminals for Turkey, autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan and Republic of Armenia.

Region 8 is one of 10 regions of Gas Transferring Company of Iran with 3,700 kilometers of transferring lines and 9 installations for reinforcement of gas pressures to deliver it to East, West Azarbaijan and Ardebil provinces as well as parts of Zanjan, Kordestan and Gilan provinces.
