EghtesadOnline: Deputy Petroleum Minister for international and trade affairs Amir Hossein Zamani-nia said on Wednesday that Iran-Germany trade exchanges volume is to be increased.

He said that the trade exchange volume is around 3 billion dollars, which in comparison with the existing capacities of cooperation between the two countries is trivial, according to IRNA.

Zamani-nia made the remarks during first Iran-Germany Energy Committee meeting.

Zamani-nia said growing trend of demand for fossil energy is to cease in year 2045, but it does not mean lack of use of fossil fuel and pointed out that Iran considering its huge volume of gas resources, will play important role in low-Carbon economy developments.

He said that currently more gas production is being used domestically, but expressed the hope that by efficient consumption and increase in utility, Iran export volume will increase.

Zamani-nia expressed the hope that by completion of Iran's LNG installations, exporting gas will be spread to the whole world.

He said that Iran's oil exploitation as compared with its resources is little and this figure is not comparable with oil extraction figure in developing countries.

'This issue could be an opportunity for investment and expansion of cooperation between Iran and Germany.'

Zamani-nia said one of the first messages of the energy committee meeting is to facilitate banking relations between the two countries.

The energy committee meeting was held in the presence of Amir Hossein Zamani-nia and Germany Ambassador to Tehran Michael Klor-Berchtold on Wednesday morning and it will continue its work on Thursday in the field of electricity.
