During the Monday meeting in Astana, the two sides discussed the latest political and field developments in Syria and exchanged views on the Syrian-Syrian dialogue to resolve the Arab country’s crisis through peaceful ways.
According to ISNA, the Iranian delegation has also held separate talks with the Syrian delegation led by the Arab country’s UN envoy Bashar al-Jaafari in the Kazakh capital of Astana.
During the Monday talks, the two sides discussed the latest field developments, especially monitoring the adoption of de-escalating measures.
They also exchanged views on the documents and agenda of the 7th meeting of International Syria Conference in Astana.
The seventh round of Syria peace talks is underway in the Kazakh capital. On Sunday the participants held some initial meetings. The negotiations will continue at the level of experts and high-ranking officials.
