Akhoundi made the remarks Monday in a meeting with Qatari Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti.
'Iran and Qatar are trying to take advantage of trade, port and transit cooperation through Iran-Qatar corridor,' IRNA quoted him as saying.
During the meeting both sides underlined cooperation between Iranian and Qatari firms to facilitate trade among businessmen, Akhoundi added.
Fortunately, Iran and Qatar enjoy good cooperation, and we discussed cooperation between airlines of two countries, Iranian minister noted.
Developing all-out cooperation between the two countries will help establish peace and security in the region, Akhoundi said.
