Agriculture Minister in Ghana

EghtesadOnline: Heading a 50-member delegation, Agriculture Minister Mahmoud Hojjati was due to arrive in Ghana’s capital Accra on Monday to take part in sixth session of Iran-Ghana Economic Commission.

The three-day meeting is expected to conclude on Wednesday. The two sides will survey ways of expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of commerce, agriculture, customs affairs, energy, transportation, culture, investments and construction, IRNA reported. According to Director General of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran’s Arabic-African Affairs Office Farzad Piltan, Iran’s exports to Ghana in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2017) increased by 170% compared to the year before to stand close to $2.3 million. The exports mainly included industrial oil, oil derivatives, vaseline, motor oil, ceramics, tar, asphalt, milk and cream, chocolate, marble, flooring, urea and kitchenware, according to Financial Tribune.
