Abbas Zare’ also put the total area of farmland in which modern irrigation systems have been set up at nearly 1.69 million hectares, Mehr News Agency reported.
The official added that these irrigation systems are being currently installed over more than 151,000 hectares of farmland, according to Financial Tribune.
