2.5 Million Homes Vacant in Iran

EghtesadOnline: According to the latest statistics, currently 2.5 million residential units across the country are vacant, the head of the National Land and Housing Organization of Iran announced.

Hamid Reza Azimian also noted that the Mehr Housing Project will be concluded by the end of the current fiscal year ending March 20, 2018, reports Mehr News website. According to Azimian, who is also a deputy minister of roads and urban development, the major policies of National Land and Housing Organization are geared toward resolving the housing troubles of various groups of people by implementing the Social Housing Project, Mehr Housing Project and selling residential units based on rent-to-own contracts.
