Most Iran Export, Import Via Sea

EghtesadOnline: About 93% of Iran’s exports and 83% of its imports are conducted via sea, the Army’s deputy for coordination said.

“Iran has sea borders with 12 of its neighboring countries. One-third of the country’s borders are sea borders and two-thirds are land and river borders,” Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari was also quoted as saying by Fars News Agency.

According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, Iran exported $43.93 billion and imported $43.684 billion worth of goods during the last Iranian fiscal year (ended March 20).
