Belarus in Talks with Iran to Sell Beef

The possibility of selling Belarusian beef to Iran was discussed by Ambassador of Belarus to Iran Yuri Lazarchik and Iranian Deputy Agricultural Minister Hassan Rokni, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The two sides discussed expansion of Belarus-Iran agro cooperation, particularly prospects of boosting between Belarusian and Iranian veterinary science and radiology specialists with a view to selling Belarusian beef to Iran.

The ambassador conveyed the greetings of Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats to his Iranian counterpart on the occasion of his reappointment to the office, Financial Tribune reported.

Lazarchik also said he hopes Iranian veterinary science and radiology specialists will visit Belarus to take a closer look at the country’s top meat and dairy companies and confirm the quality of Belarusian products.

Rokni was satisfied with the work done by the Belarusian-Iranian working group on agro cooperation and confirmed the intention to arrange the visit of Iranian specialists to Belarus soon.
