Economic Commission With Belarus Convenes

EghtesadOnline: The 14th session of Iran-Belarus Economic Commission, co-chaired by Iran’s Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari and Belarusian Industry Minister Vitaly Vovk opened in Tehran on Monday and will end today.

“The current annual $160-million trade between the two sides is not satisfactory at all. As we have good political relations, we need to try to strengthen our economic ties as well,” Shariatmadari was quoted as saying during the session, IRNA reported. According to Shariatmadari, the two sides can initiate cooperation in joint production of trucks, electric bus and cars for export to Eurasia. “Tehran and Minsk are working to abolish visa regime for traders of their respective countries,” he said. Vovk highlighted machinery production, agriculture, medicine and education as prime areas to boost bilateral collaborations, according to Financial Tribune.
