EghtesadOnline: Iran and Belarus signed a bilateral cooperation roadmap and vision plan for the three years to 2020, specifying their mutual collaboration in the fields of politics, economy, banking, agriculture, transport, science, culture, health and tourism.

The roadmap was signed during the closing ceremony of the 14th session of the Iran-Belarus Economic Commission held at Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization on Tuesday, IRNA reported. “The agreements reached between the two sides during the two-day event were valuable. The Belarusian authorities promised to support Iranian companies operating in Belarus in technical and engineering fields,” Iran’s Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari said in the closing ceremony. “A new area explored and agreed upon between the two nations during the session pertained to pharmaceuticals and related industries,” Shariatmadari added. Belarusian Industry Minister Vitaly Vovk hoped that the agreements reached in this event would help tighten mutual ties. Eight memorandums of understanding were signed by the two sides in the fields of industrial activities, auto production, agricultural and mining machinery, electric buses, oil and agricultural products, according to Financial Tribune.
