Since Iranian mobile operators have upgraded their services in recent years and now offer 4G Internet services broadly, in order to forestall communication jams in areas where the operators’ networks overlap, the spectrum each operator (in Iran and Oman) is allowed to use must be determined, manager of international affairs, Alireza Darvishi, was quoted as saying on the CRA website. He further said the frequency used by operators must be coordinated and the spectrums must be managed. Frequency coordination is a technical and regulatory process that removes or mitigates radio-frequency interference between different radio systems. Spectrum management is part of the process and is regulating the use of radio frequencies to promote efficient use. In addition to CRA officials, representatives from mobile operators in the two neighboring countries were present at the meeting, Financial Tribune reported.
