“Close to 21.65 million tons of non-oil goods and nearly 15.63 million tons of oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port during the period, registering a 4% and 2% growth respectively compared with the similar period of last year,” Adel Deris was also quoted as saying by the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development. The official noted that more than 2 million tons of oil products were transited through the port during the period, showing a 6% hike year-on-year. Container loading and unloading during the same period stood at 100,890 TEUs. Imam Khomeini Port is the second largest port in Iran after Shahid Rajaee, Financial Tribune reported.
