According to Director General of Golestan Customs Administration Ebrahim Hosseini, the main exported goods over the period include dairy products, poultry feed, polystyrene, rebar, chipboard, iodine and silo parts. Iraq, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Romania, Russian Federation, Turkey, Uzbekistan, India and China were the main export destinations, the official was quoted as saying by IRNA. Some 50,000 tons of goods, including production line parts, sunflower seeds, rice, vegetable oil extraction machinery, chlorine and potassium, worth a total of $37 million, were imported into the province during the same period, mostly from China, Kazakhstan, Germany, Russian, Turkey, Pakistan, Italy and India, according to Financial Tribune.
