The production of these items had an overall growth of 70% over the period, the Persian economic daily Donya-e-Eqtesad reported.
The top commodities that experienced the highest growth in the industrial sector were combines, bus, minibus and vans, different kinds of paper and cardboard.
A total of 758 combines were manufactured during the period, registering an 86% hike compared with the previous year, according to Financial Tribune.
Bus, minibus and van production amounted to 4,243 vehicles, showing a 61% surge year-on-year.
Around 764,900 tons of different kinds of paper and 490,400 tons of cardboard were produced, indicating a 32% and 26% YOY rise respectively.
In the mineral and mining industries, sanitary ware (21%), flint glass (19%), tiles (19%), coal concentrate (13%) and raw steel (11%) saw the highest growth in production last year.
Sanitary ware production stood at 102,900 tons, which showed a 21% growth compared with the previous year.
More than 982,000 tons of flint glass and 378 million square meters of tiles were produced to register a 19% YOY increase each.
Coal concentrate production amounted to 1.39 million tons, indicating a 13% rise YOY.
And more than 20.82 million tons of raw steel were produced, which experienced an 11% growth YOY.
According to the Central Bank of Iran’s latest report, Iran’s gross domestic product grew 3.4% during the first three quarters of the current fiscal year (March 21-Dec. 21, 2017) compared with last year’s corresponding period.
CBI put Q1-3 growth rate, excluding oil production, at 4.1%.
The report shows “industries and mining” sector registered the highest growth in the period with 4.6%.
Agriculture, services and oil sectors expanded by 4.1%, 3.7% and 1.3% respectively.
The central bank’s report came after the Statistical Center of Iran put GDP growth at 4.4% for the same period. Excluding oil production, SCI said the economy grew by 4.7%.
