EghtesadOnline: Two border markets of Shoushmi in Paveh and Tilko at Sar-e-Pol Zahab, which were closed by Iraq following last year’s independence referendum vote in Iraqi Kurdistan region, will reopen within two months, the provincial governor of the western province of Kermanshah said.

“The border market of Sheikh Saleh Salas at Babajani was also opened on Thursday following negotiations with Iraqi officials,” IRNA quoted Houshang Bazvand as saying on Monday. Kermanshah shares 371 kilometers of borders with Iraq. The province has six official and active border markets and accounts for half of Iran’s non-oil exports to the western neighbor. The western Iranian province was hit by a 7.3-magnitude earthquake on Nov. 8, leaving hundreds of people dead and thousands of others injured, according to Financial Tribune.
