EghtesadOnline: In a gathering to report MTN-Irancell’s activities and projects, ride-hailing company Snapp, supported by the mobile operator, announced statistics regarding the service’s fortunes.

During the meeting in Tehran, Snapp’s senior administrative manager Shahram Shahkar said, “In the final days of the year which ended in March, Snapp managed to reach one million daily rides.”

“[The analysis of] statistics on the daily trips processed by global online taxi services shows Snapp has secured the seventh spot among peers,” reported Digiato.

The major mobile operator and Internet service provider MTN-Irancell is one of Snapp’s major investors, according to Financial Tribune.

The company says they are on a par with the best e-riding apps in the world, listed below China’s Didi, the United States’ Uber, Singapore’s Grab, India’s Ola, US’s Lyft and Russia’s Yandex.

The leading ride-hailing service Snapp reported that it has over 10 million registered users and 300,000 plus drivers working for it. The company operates in 18 cities and says on a daily basis it receives over one million trip requests, of which at least 800,000 are handled successfully.

Snapp’s major rival, Tap30, is yet to release similar statistics; however, it is speculated that Tap30’s share in the market is close to Snapp.
