“About 54% of the bitumen will go to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development for putting fresh layers of asphalt on urban and rural roads,” Ali Qorbani was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
“Housing Foundation, a government fund committed to provide the poor with housing, will receive 17% of the bitumen to build roads in villages,” he added.
Qorbani noted that 13% of the bitumen will be given to the Interior Ministry for establishing roads in cities with less than 50,000 inhabitants, another 13% to the Agriculture Ministry and 3% to the Education Ministry, according to Financial Tribune.
