Uptrend in Gold Coin, Forex Rates

EghtesadOnline: The Emami benchmark gold coin gained another 1% in Tehran on Monday and was traded at close to 25 million rials ($59), a new all-time high, according to Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union’s website.

This is while all major traded currencies also gained in the black market. The US dollar changed hands at about 67,000 rials, which was higher by around 4% when compared with Sunday. The euro and the British pound both gained more than 4% and were traded for 80,450 rials and 91,240 rials respectively. The steepest decline of the rial, Iran’s national currency, was registered on Monday against the Emirati dirham that gained more than 5% and changed hands for 18,508 rials, Financial Tribune reported.
