EghtesadOnline: During a one-day visit to Slovakia, Iran’s Economy Minister Masoud Karbasian met with the country’s deputy prime minister and finance minister, Peter Kazimir, to discuss the improvement of bilateral economic and banking relations.

According to Mehr News Agency on Friday, Karbasian said in the meeting that the expansion of banking, trade and industrial ties between the two countries has been front and center since Slovakia’s independence in 1993. He added that the Central European country is one of the most important partners of Iran in Europe’s eastern bloc. Since the US exit from the nuclear deal last month, Iran has been in negotiation with European Union countries to seek common ground to save the agreement reached with world powers in 2015, Financial Tribune reported.
