TEDPIX Ends Wednesday Trade 1.94 Percent Lower

EghtesadOnline: Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index lost 2,202.88 points or 1.94% on Wednesday to end trading at 111,324.8.

About 2.28 billion shares valued at $138.47 million changed hands at TSE for the day.

Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.

Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company was the biggest riser, going up 4.99% to 4,627 rials per share, Financial Tribune reported.

North Drilling Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 6.53% to 2,017 rials per share. 

Mobarakeh Steel Company was the biggest laggard behind the benchmark’s fall, followed by Middle East Mines and Mining Industries Development Holding Company and Iran National Copper Industry Company.

Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Complex gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Telecommunications Company of Iran and Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company.

The Price Index lost 672.32 points to close at 33,978.6. The First Market Index was down 1,580.54 points to post 81,654.6. The Second Market Index shed 4,604.27 points to reach 223,360.7. The Industry Index dropped 2,131.02 points to register 100,865. The Free Float Index was down 2,612.59 points to end at 122,481.36. The TSE 30 gave up 144.34 point to settle at 5,470.7 and the TSE 50 lost 106.07 points to finish at 4,760.2.

 IFX Down 2.08%

Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX lost 26.98 points or 2.08% to close Wednesday trade at 1,269.47.

About 816.43 million securities valued at $61.05 million were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Esfahan Steel Company had the highest number of traded shares and trade value, as 387.41 million of its shares worth $11.61 changed hands.

Afranet Company, Iranian Reinsurance Company and Kharazmi IT Development Company registered the highest value increase.

Esfahan Steel Company, Persian Gulf Mining Industries Holding Company and Caspian Tamin Pharmaceutical Company suffered the biggest decline.

Middle East Mines and Mining Industries Development Holding Company, Esfahan Steel Company and Zagros Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
