3 Foreign Investment Deals Signed in Ahvaz

EghtesadOnline: The municipality of Ahvaz signed three memoranda of understanding on Sunday with Chinese, French and Italian companies concerning the construction of several commercial complexes, an entertainment park, a water park and a bridge, as well as the development of a subway.

The agreements were signed on the sidelines of a conference on attraction of foreign investors in urban management between Ahvaz Municipality and the French Maf Pars Hypermarkets, Italy’s Sartori and the Chinese Crec, according to the head of Ahvaz Municipality Finance and Public Participation Organization, Amir Safikhani.

Investors from Greece and Kyrgyzstan also participated in the conference that was aimed at attracting foreign capital to aid the development of subways, railroads, urbanization, waste management and water parks in Khuzestan, according to Financial Tribune.

Ahvaz, with a population of 1.1 million, is the capital of Khuzestan Province to the southwest of Iran.
