Iran's Non-Oil Trade With Turkey Down 10%

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 895,264 tons of non-oil commodities worth $973.48 million with Turkey during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21), registering a 5.14% growth in tonnage and 10.09% decline in value compared with last year’s corresponding period.

Financial Tribune culled the data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s latest report. Iran’s exports to Turkey stood at 545,427 tons worth $422.23 million, up 44.51% and 18.58% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. 

Turkey was Iran’s seventh biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported non-alloy zinc, semi-finished steel/metal products and aluminum to Turkey during the three-month period.

Turkey exported 349,836 tons of goods worth $551.24 million to Iran, down 26.21% and 24.14% in tonnage and value respectively YOY, according to Financial Tribune.

Turkey was the fifth major exporter of goods to Iran within the three months. The imports mainly included cooking banana, auto parts and cotton.
