Growth in Exports From Markazi Province

EghtesadOnline: Exports of chicken parts, livestock feed, ornamental fish and frozen chicken from Markazi Province in western Iran have increased in the current Iranian year (started March 21).

According to Director General of Markazi Veterinary General Office Mohsen Shaneghi, 306 tons of chicken parts have been exported from the province since March 21, registering an increase of 100% compared with last year’s corresponding period, IRNA reported.

“Livestock feed exports [mainly to Iraq] hit 89 tons to also register a 100% rise,” Shaneghi added.  

The province has exported 595,524 ornamental fish to Iraq and Afghanistan, indicating a 41% growth year-on-year, according to Financial Tribune.

And export of 97 tons of frozen chicken also to Iraq and Afghanistan also registered a 4% rise YOY.

Markazi Province has 622 industrial chicken farming units, 491 industrial dairy farming units, 191 aquatic animal breeding units, 638 bee farms, eight industrial chicken slaughterhouses and 23 livestock and bird feed and supplement production units.
