As per the scheme, eight models are on offer, including the locally designed sedans Dena and Samand along with two Peugeot models namely the 206 and 405, Arisan pickup truck and Chinese-derived Dongfeng H30 crossover and Haima S7 SUV.
Buyers are charged 159 to 522 million rials as a down payment for the vehicles. However, the company is yet to announce the final prices for the cars. The US dollar is being traded at about 118,000 rials on the open mark. Many are of the opinion that IKCO is planning to exorbitantly jack up prices in the coming days and that the reason behind the unusual decision to pre-sell vehicles without announcing a final price tag. The cars are to be delivered between January and March 2019, according to Financial Tribune.
