Ali Akbar Shamani, director general of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s Export Affairs Division, has notified customs offices across the country of the measure taken by the Turkmen government.
This will help businesspeople and service receivers abstain, until further notice, from using Lotfabad Customs Terminal to transport their cargo to Tajikistan, ILNA reported on Wednesday citing IRICA.
Ali Shariati, a member of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, said later that Iran is planning to use an alternative corridor through Afghanistan for access to Tajikistan, Financial Tribune reported.
