Reza Nafisi, director general of the organization’s Transit and International Transportation Division, said annually 4,000 trucks ply between the two countries, with Iranian fleet accounting for around 3,000 of the total.
“Among the subjects discussed were easing visa issuance for Iranian truckers and securing their safety in Italy,” he was quoted as saying by the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
The meeting will continue on Sept. 18 for the second and last day, according to Financial Tribune.
