Rise in Cement Exports via Iran's Sarakhs Border

EghtesadOnline: Exports of cement through Sarakhs border crossing in Khorasan Razavi Province to Central Asian countries by railroads stood at around 193,000 tons during the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21-Sept. 22), registering a 191% surge compared with the similar period of last year, the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development reported.

According to Mohammad Hadi Ziyaeimehr, director general of Khorasan Razavi Railroad Organization, the figure accounted for 92% of Iran’s total cement export by railroads during the period. 

"The main export destinations were Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan," Financial Tribune quoted him as saying.
