Iran's Trade With Azerbaijan Grows 38%

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 263,586 tons of non-oil commodities worth $149.38 million with Azerbaijan during the first five months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Aug. 22), registering a 39.56% and 38.38% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year's corresponding period, data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.

Iran’s exports to Azerbaijan stood at 242,209 tons worth $141.18 million, up 45.70% and 42.15% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. 

Azerbaijan was Iran’s 16th export destination during the period.

Iran mainly exported polypropylene grid, pipes and iron profiles to Azerbaijan during the five-month period, Financial Tribune reported.

It exported 21,376 tons of goods worth $8.20 million to Iran, down 5.57% and 4.99% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. 

Azerbaijan was the 60th exporter of goods to Iran over the five months.

The imports mainly included non-alloy iron and steel products, poultry feed and scrap iron.
