Iran's Fars Exports Top $130m in Seven Months

EghtesadOnline: More than 193,000 tons of commodities worth over $137 million were exported from the southern Fars Province during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Oct. 22).

According to Khodadad Rahimi, director general of Fars Customs Offices, the exports mainly included dairy products, tomato paste, licorice extract and powder, urea, dates, cement, tiles and ceramics, wheat flour and carpet.

Iraq, Afghanistan, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Germany, India, Turkey, Pakistan and Indonesia were the main export destinations, IRNA reported.

About 11,608 tons of goods worth $58.19 million were imported into the southern province over the same period, according to Financial Tribune.

The imports mainly came from China, the UAE, Germany, Turkey, Poland, South Korea, Sweden, Pakistan, Switzerland and Italy.
